We are ranked among the top nationwide in adenoma detection rate, an important measure of the quality of colonoscopy. Clinical studies have shown that high adenoma detection rate reduces the risk of getting colon cancer and dying from colon cancer by over 40%. Our physicians hold leadership positions in professional societies and organizations both at the national and local levels. Our DMC Endoscopy Center is accredited by the Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and certified by the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and is the only facility in the region to have received dual AAAHC and ASGE accreditation. DMC Endoscopy Center is the only center to have achieved ASGE certification in West Virginia. Accreditation is awarded to facilities that provide the highest standard of care to their patients as determined through a rigorous evaluation and inspection process.

Ambulatory Endoscopy Center
Our DMC Endoscopy Center is designed with quality, safety, patient privacy, and convenience in mind. The procedures provided at the Center allow patients to recover in the comfort of their own homes. The Center offers a spacious reception area for patients and their families. Our state of the art endoscopy suite allows your physician to perform procedures in the most comfortable and efficient manner. Our recovery rooms and discharge areas are designed to maximize patient privacy and comfort. The Center underwent a rigorous process of accreditation through the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid. We are the only center in West Virginia to obtain certification of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) by meeting their highest quality benchmarks.
